Margaret de was born about 1155 in Wilton Castle, Ross-on-Wye, Herefordshire, England. Margaret de's father was Hugh II de Longchamp , of Wilton and her mother was Emma de St. Leger. She had a brother named Henry de. She was the older of the two children.General Notes
Some have Margaret as daughter of Henry de Longchamps, but birth dates make him more appropriate as her brother.
