Walter Of was born in 1045. Walter Of's father was Fleance Thane of Lochaber and his mother was Nesta (Mary) Verch Gruffydd. His paternal grandparents were Banquo Thane of Lochaber and Muldivana (Maud) of Atholl; his maternal grandparents were Prince of Wales Gruffydd Ap Llewellyn Prince of Wales and Guerta of Deheubarth. He had two brothers named Flaald Baron of and Alan Seneschal of Dal &. He was the youngest of the three children. He died at the age of 48 in 1093 in Alnwick Castle, Northumberland, England.-
