Her paternal grandparents were Robert De LATHAM KNIGHT and Amicia De ALFRETON; her maternal grandparents were Thomas De KNOWSELIGH KNIGHT and Mrs-Thomas De KNOWSELIGH. She had three brothers and two sisters, named Thomas, Hugh De, Philip De, Joan De and Alice. She was the oldest of the six children.-
