Petronilla (Pernel) de was born about 1196 in Trim Castle, Meath, Ireland. Petronilla (Pernel) de's father was Walter de Lacy , Lord of Meath and her mother was Margaret de Braose. Her paternal grandparents were Hugh Baron de Lacy , Lord of Meath and Rohese de Monmouth; her maternal grandparents were William III 5th Baron de Braose , Lord Bramber and Maude de St. Valery. She had a brother and a sister, named Gilbert de and Egidia (Jill) de. She was the oldest of the three children. She died after November 25th, 1288.General Notes

He [Ralph de Toeni] m., between November 1232 and 1234, Pernel, daughter of Walter DE LACY (elder brother of Hugh, Earl of Ulster), presumably by his wife Margaret, daughter of William DE BRIOUZE. He died about Michaelmas 1239 at sea. His widow, who was granted the custody of Maud Castle, 1247-20 June 1251 married, before 15 October 1256, Willian DE ST. OMER, and was living, 25 November 1288.
