Maud (Matilda) de Lacy 
Maud (Matilda) de was born about 1230 in Trim Castle, Meath, Ireland. Maud (Matilda) de's father was Gilbert de Lacy , Master of Meath and her mother was Isabella Bigod. She had a sister named Margaret de. She was the younger of the two children. She had four half-sisters named Avelina, Maud, Isabel and Joan. She died on April 11th, 1304.General Notes
Matilda de Lacy (by first husband), coheir of her grandfather, Walter de Lacy, died 11 April 1304; married (1) before 15 May 1244 Pierre de Geneva, dsp 1249 before 29 June, son of Humbert, Comte de Geneva, and Agnes di Savoie; married (2) before 8 Aug 1252, Geoffrey de Joinville, 1st Lord Genevil, Sire de Vaucouleurs, Lord of Ludlow (Salop) and of Trim (in Ireland), born c1226, died at Trim 21 Oct 1314, son of Simon, Sire de Joinville, and Beatrix de Bourgogne. Trim Castle:
When Walter died in 1241 the estates passed to his granddaughter, Maud who married Geoffrey de Geneville in 1254--the beginning of a period of prosperity for Trim. The Great Hall was constructed on the site of the north curtain wall and the North tower developed as the Solar or private apartments. In 1306, de Geneville's granddaughter Joanna married Roger Mortimer--1st Earl of March. Their descendants held Trim until Edmund, the 5th Earl, died in 1425.
