Her paternal grandparents were Alan La Zouche Baron Zouche of Ashby and Elena De Quincy; her maternal grandparents were William De Cantelou III Lord Abergavenny and Eve De Braose. She had a brother and four sisters, named William, Lucy, Maud, Eva and Eleanor. She was the oldest of the six children.-
