William de was born about 1217 in Kyme, Sleaford, Lincolnshire, England. William de's father was Philip de Kyme and his mother was Agnes de Wales. His paternal grandparents were Simon III de Kyme , Sir and Rohese FitzRobert. He was an only child. He died before September 3rd, 1259.General Notes
(g) William [de Kyme], for his salvation and that of Lucy his wife, in 1256 confirmed numerous gifts to Bullington Priory. The seal shows a chevron between ten cross-crosslets, 6 and 4. Lucy is mentioned again in 1259. Her surname is recovered from the Kyme pedigree in a document at Kyme in 1640. She was living 1279, and was buried in the Grey Friar's church at York, as was Sir William de Ros of Ingmanthorpe. [Complete Peerage VII:352 note (g)]
