Simon III de Kyme , Sir 
Simon III de was born about 1154 in Sotby, Lincolnshire, England. Simon III de's father was Philip de Kyme , Sheriff of Lincolnshire and his mother was Hawise de Kyme. His paternal grandparents were Simon II de Kyme and Roese de Bolington; his maternal grandfather was Roger de Kyme. He was an only child. He died in 1220.General Notes
Simon de Kyme, in the 21st Henry II [1175], was indebted to the crown in the sum of forty marks as a fine for not disclaiming his right to certain lands after he had lost them upon a trial by battle. In the reign of John, he took up arms with the barons and was excommunicated by the pope, when his lands were all seized and transferred to Geoffrey Nevill. He subsequently negotiated for their restoration, but d. before anything effectual in the matter could be accomplished. He d. in 1219 and was s. by his son, Philip de Kyme.
