Hakon Ivarsson , Jarl of Uplands 
Hakon was born about 1025 in Uplands, Vestfold, Norway. Hakon's father was Ivar "Hvide" Jarl of Uplands and his mother was Thora. He was an only child. He died in 1079.General Notes
Hakon was promised Ragnild, daughter of the deceased King Magnus Olafsson, to make terms of peace with King Harald. She, hover, refused him because of his lowly status, "a farmer". On the death of Earl Orm (for Harald would not "deprive Orm of the title he had already given him"), Hakon was given Orm's title and authority, and married Ragnild.

According to Burke's Peerage, Hakon was ggs on his grandmother's side of Hakon I "The Great", a Jarl.
Hakon and Ragnhild Magnussdottir Princess of were married in a religious ceremony in 1050. They had a daughter named Ragnhild.
