Angharad Verch was born about 0920 in Dynevor Castle, Carmarthenshire, Wales. Angharad Verch's father was Prince of Deheubarth Hywel Dda Ap Cadell Prince of Deheubarth and her mother was Ellen Verch Llywarch. She had a brother and a sister, named Owain Ap and Angharad Verch Hywel. She was the youngest of the three children.
