Margaret de was born in 1144 in Huntingdon, Huntingdonshire, England.  Margaret de's father was Henry Earl of Huntingdon , Prince of Scotland and her mother was Ada de Warenne.  Her maternal grandparents were William de Warenne , 2nd Earl of Surrey and Isabel Elizabeth de Vermandois. She had two brothers and three sisters, named William The Lion King of, David Earl of, Aufrica of, Ada of and Marjory of.  She was the third youngest of the six children.  She died at the age of 57 in 1201 in Richmond, North Ride Yorkshire, England.  She was buried in Sawtrey Abbey, Huntingdonshire, England.
