David Earl of was born in 1144 in Huntingdon, Huntingdonshire, England.  David Earl of's father was Henry Earl of Huntingdon , Prince of Scotland and his mother was Ada de Warenne.  His paternal grandparents were David I "The Saint" King of Scotland and Matilda de Huntingdon; his maternal grandparents were William de Warenne , 2nd Earl of Surrey and Isabel Elizabeth de Vermandois. He had a brother and four sisters, named William The Lion King of, Aufrica of, Margaret de, Ada of and Marjory of.  He was the third oldest of the six children.  He died at the age of 75 on June 17th, 1219.

‌David Earl of and Maud of were married in a religious ceremony on August 26th, 1190.  They had a son and three daughters, named John le, Isabella, Margaret de and Ada de.
