Her paternal grandparents were Robert II De Holand Sir Knight and Elizabeth De Samlesbury; her maternal grandparents were Alan La Zouche Lord Of Ashby and Eleanor De Segrave. She had two brothers and four sisters, named Robert IV 2Nd Lord De, Thomas De, Margaret De, Maud De, Alianore De and Margery De. She was the second youngest of the seven children.
