Melitiah was born on May 26th, 1704 in Medfield, MA. Melitiah's father was Timothy Hamant and her mother was Melitiah Clark. Her paternal grandparents were Francis Hamant and Sarah Hamant; her maternal grandparents were Ephraim Clark and Mary Bullen. She had two brothers and two sisters, named Samuel, Timothy, Abiel and Mehitable. She died at the age of 47 in 1751 in Keene, Cheshire Co., New Hampshire.-
