Thomas ap was born about 1365 in Wernddu, Monmouthshire, Wales. Thomas ap's father was Gwilym ap Jenkin , Lord of Gwarinddu and his mother was Gwenllian verch Hywel , "Fychan". His paternal grandparents were Jenkin ap Adam and Lowri verch Philip; his maternal grandparents were Hywel "Fychan" ap Hywel and Alice verch Llewelyn. He had two brothers named Philip "Fychan" ap and Dafydd ap. He was the youngest of the three children. He died on July 4th, 1438 in Plas yn-y-berth-hir (Perth-hir), Monmouthshire, Wales.General Notes
