Gohilda's father was Count Hildouin III Of Montreuil DE PONTHIEU and her mother was Hersende. She had two brothers named Hughes I Of Abbeville and Hildouin.General Notes
Credited with the first unification of the country, convertedthe Danes to Christianity, and conquered Norway. After hisBaptism his fathers pagan tomb was transformed into a Christianplace of worship.
Introduced Christianity into Denmark, he had the famous Jellingrune stone erected in his parent memory. He was fatally woundedduring a rebellion by his son and successor, Sveng I.
