Walter I was born about 1010 in Longueville, Normandy, France. Walter I's father was Osbern I de Bolbec , Seigneur of Longueville and his mother was Avelina (Duvelina) de Crepon. His maternal grandparents were Herbastus Forester of Arque and Gunnhild Olafsdottir. He had two brothers and a sister, named Gozeline Vicomte d', Osbern II de and Miss de. He was the youngest of the four children. He died in 1084 in France.General Notes
