Piers de Gaveston , Earl of Cornwall 
Piers de was born about 1284 in Blacklow Hill, Warwickshire, England. Piers de's father was Ernaud de Gaveston , of Blacklow, Sir Knight and his mother was Clarmunda de Marsau & de Louvigny. His paternal grandfather was Garsie de Gabaston , of Blacklow Hill; his maternal grandfather was Arnaud Guilldaume de Marsan. He was an only child. Piers Gaveston was a favorite (and possible lover) of King Edward II. He was given title of Earl of Cornwall in 1307. 5 years later he was murdered by a lynch mob of nobles jealous of his influence over King Edward II.
