Aufrica of was born in 1120 in Wigtown, Galloway, Scotland. Aufrica of's father was Fergus Lord of Galloway and her mother was Elizabeth of England. Her maternal grandparents were Henry I "Beauclerc" King of England and Several Mistresses. She had two brothers and two sisters, named Uchtred Lord of, Gilbert Lord of, Bethoc and Margaret de. She was the oldest of the five children.-
