Simon De was born about 1260 in Of, Trim, Meath, Ireland. Simon De's father was Geoffrey De GENEVILLE Baron Geneville and his mother was Maud (Mahaut De LACY) LACY. His paternal grandparents were Simon Seigneur De JOINVILLE Senechal of Champagne/Senechal of Champagne and Beatrix Of BURGUNDY; his maternal grandparents were Gilbert De LACY and Isabel BIGOD. He had five brothers and a sister, named Geoffrey De, Gautier De, Piers De, Jehan De, Pierre (the younger) and Jeanne De. He was the third youngest of the seven children. He died after April 24th, 1309.-
