Thomas de Furnivall(e), 2nd Lord (Baron) Furnivall(e), as which called to Parliament by write vp from 25 Aug 1318, it being probable that the summons was to him in right of his wife's position as a great heiress; b. c 1291-1301; m. 24 Feb 1317/8 Joan (born 9 or 11 Aug 1303; m. 1st 28 April 1317 John de Montagu (dsp & vp by 14 Aug 1317), eldest son of 2nd Lord (Baron) Montagu of the 1299 creation; d. 2 Oct 1334), eldest daughter and coheir of Theobald de Verdun, 1st/2nd Lord (Baron) Verdun, who brought him Alton Castle and other estates in Staffs, and died 5, 7, or 14 Oct 1339.
