Sir Richard Forrester 
Richard was born about 1050 in Flanders, Belgium. Richard's father was Count, Flanders Baldwin IV de Lille of Flanders Count, Flanders and his mother was Ogive (or Otgiva) of Luxemburg. His paternal grandparents were Arnolph II Count of Flanders and Rosela (or Susanna) Princess of Italy; his maternal grandparents were Frederick I Duke of Luxemburg and Ermentrude von Gleiberg. He had a brother and two sisters, named Baldwin V Count of, Ermengarde and Bertha Countess of. He was the youngest of the four children. He died in Scotland.General Notes
BIOGRAPHY: Sir Richard and his father, Baldwin IV, pass over to England with his brother-in-law, William the Conqueror and received the honour of knighthood after the battle of Hastings. He was in his sixteenth year and from whom sprung the Foresters of Etherstone and Bamborough Caste in Northumberland, and the Blake Forester of Ashfield and Knockmoy Abbey, County Galway and Inchorey Castle, County Clare.
