Matilda (Maud) of was born in 1032 in Flanders, France.  Matilda (Maud) of's father was Baudouin V Count of Flanders and her mother was Adele (Aelis) Princess of France.  Her maternal grandparents were Robert II "The Pious" King of France and Constance of Provence. She had two brothers named Baudouin VI Count (I of Hainault) of and Robert I le Frison Count of. She had two half-sisters named Elena of and Helene "le Bon" de.  She died at the age of 51 on November 3rd, 1083 in Caen, Calvados, France.  She was buried in Church of Holy Trinity, Caen.
