Maud was born in Shere, Surrey, England.  Maud's father was John FitzGeoffrey Lord Kirtling Justiciar and her mother was Isabel le Bigod.  Her paternal grandparents were Geoffrey FitzPiers Earl of Essex de Mandeville and Aveline de Clare; her maternal grandparents were Hugh le Bigod Earl of Norfolk and Maud Marshal. She had two brothers and three sisters, named John, Richard, Avelina, Isabel and Joan. She had a half-brother and two half-sisters, named Walter, Margery and Maud.  She died on April 16th, 1301 in Grey Friars, Worcestershire.


Maud's first family with William de Beauchamp Earl of Warwick

‌Maud and William de Beauchamp were married in a religious ceremony before 1270.  They had three sons and seven daughters, named Robert, John, Guy de Beauchamp, Isabella, Sara, Anna, Amy, Margaret, Maud and Matilda.
