Maud was born about 1237 in Shere, Surrey, England.  Maud's father was John FitzGeoffrey , Justiciar of Ireland, Sir and her mother was Isabella Bigod.  Her paternal grandparents were Geoffrey FitzPiers , 3rd Earl of Essex and Aveline de Clare; her maternal grandparents were Hugh Bigod , 3rd Earl of Norfolk, MCS and Maud Marshal. She had three sisters named Avelina, Isabel and Joan.  She was the second oldest of the four children. She had two half-sisters named Margaret de and Maud (Matilda) de.  She died in Grey Friars, Worcestershire, England.  She was buried on May 7th, 1301 in Grey Friars, Worcestershire, England.

‌Maud and William de were married in a religious ceremony before 1270 in 2nd husband.  They had a son and a daughter, named Guy de and Isabel de.


Maud's second family with Gerard de Furnival , Lord of Hallamshire, Sir

‌Maud and Gerard de were married in a religious ceremony in 1st husband.  They had a daughter named Alice de.
