Cecily FitzPayn was born about 1127 in Ewyas, Herefordshire, England. Cecily FitzPayn's father was Payn FitzJohn , of Ewyas and her mother was Sybil Talbot , Heiress of Swanscombe. She had a brother and a sister, named Payn and Agnes. She was the second oldest of the three children.General Notes

It was overlooked sub Hereford that according to Bracton, she was widow of William de Poitou in 1192. She dsp, and her moiety of the FitzJohn-Talbot inheritance then came to the Munchensys.
