Henry was born about 1105 in of Narberth & Pebidiog, Wales. Henry's father was Henry I "Beauclerc" King of England and his mother was Nest verch Rhys , Heiress of Carew. His maternal grandparents were Rhys ap Tewdwr , King of Deheubarth and Gwladus verch Rhiwallon. He had a sister named Maud of. He was the younger of the two children. He had three half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Robert de, William, Maurice, Hadewise de and Miss de. He died in 1158 in killed.-
