Maud was born about 1156 in Du Sap, Normandy, France. Maud's father was Robert FitzEdith and her mother was Maud d' Maud Dame du , Heiress of Okehampton. Her paternal grandfather was Henry I "Beauclerc" King of England. She had a half-sister named Hawise de. She died in 1224 in (dsp).
