Enguerrand de was born in 1147 in Martock, Somerset, England. Enguerrand de's father was Eustace II Baron de Fiennes , Sir and his mother was Margaret de Guines. His paternal grandparents were Cindor de Fiennes and Alix de Bournonville; his maternal grandparents were Arnould de Ghent , Comte de Guines and Mahaut de St. Omer. He was an only child. He died at the age of 42 in 1189 in Jerusalem, Palestine.-
