Joan de Ferrers 
Joan de was born in 1248 in Derby, Derbyshire, England. Joan de's father was William III de Ferrers , 5th Earl of Derby and her mother was Margaret de Quincy. Her paternal grandparents were William II de Ferrers , 4th Earl of Derby and Agnes of Chester , Lady of Chartley. She had two brothers and three sisters, named Robert de, William IV, Elizabeth de, Agnes de and Berta de. She was the third youngest of the six children. She had five half-sisters named Isabel de, Agnes de, Maud (Matilda) de, Eleanor de and Joan de. She died in St Augustine Priory, Bristol, Gloucestershire, England.General Notes

He [Thomas de Berkeley] married, in 1267, Joan, da. of William (DE FERRERS), EARL OF DERBY, by his 2nd wife, Margaret, daughter and coheir of Roger (DE QUINCI), EARL OF WINCHESTER.
