William de Everingham , of Skiningrave, Sir 
William de was born about 1331 in Laxton, Southwell, Nottinghamshire, England. William de's father was Adam 2nd Baron de Everingham , of Laxton, Sir and his mother was Joan d' Eiville. His paternal grandparents were Adam 1st Baron de Everingham , KG and Clarice; his maternal grandparents were John d' Eiville , of Egmanton & Adlingfleet,Sir and Margaret. He had a brother and two sisters, named Thomas de, Margaret de and Joan de. He was the second oldest of the four children. He died in Skinningrave, Skelton, Yorkshire, England (dvp).General Notes
His [Adam de Everingham's] son and heir apparent, Sir William de Everingham, of Skinningrove, co. York, died v.p., 16 or 21 August 1369, having married, before 28 January1353/4, Alice, daughter of Sir John de Grey, of Codnor, co. Derby [Lord Grey], by whom he had a son, Robert (who died 25 or 27 December 1370, aged 2, and two daughters, coheirs of their grandfather, the last Lord. These were (1) Joan, aged 25 and more In 1388, and then wife of Sir William Elys, who died in October 1391, and whose will, dated at Everingham, 10 October 1391, was proved 31 October following: she married, 2ndly, as 1st wife, before August 1398, Robert Waterton, of Methley, co. York, who died 17 January 11424/5. (2) Katherine, aged 23 and more in 1388, and then the wife of John de Etton (afterwards knight), of Gilling in Rydale, who survived her, and died 25 March 1433 and whose will, dated 1 October 1431, was proved 30 March 1433. On 27 April and 7 May 1388 these two coheirs had livery of their purparties of the inheritance.
