Hugh de was born about 1220 in Iver, Eton, Buckinghamshire, England. Hugh de's father was John FitzRobert , Lord of Warkworth, MCS and his mother was Ada de Baliol , Heiress of Stokesley. His paternal grandparents were Robert FitzRoger , 2nd Baron of Warkworth and Margaret de Chesney; his maternal grandparents were Hugh de Baliol , Lord Gainford and Cicely de Fontaines. He had a brother named Roger. He was the younger of the two children. He died on August 7th, 1295 in Stokesley, North Ride Yorkshire, England.General Notes
(d) The two families of Eure (of Stokesley, co. York, and of Belton, co. Lincoln) were descended from Hugh and Robert - younger sons of John fitz Robert, of Warkworth and Clavering - whom their mother, Ada, daughter of Hugh de Baliol, enfeoffed of the manor of Stokesley (which she had in free marriage), Sunday, before St Barnabas 5 Jun 1250.
