William I "The Conqueror" King of was born on October 14th, 1027 in Falais, Calvados, France.  William I "The Conqueror" King of's father was Robert I "The Magnificent" Duke of Normandy and his mother was Herleve (Arlette) de Falaise.  His paternal grandfather was Richard II "The Good" Duke of Normandy; his maternal grandparents were Fulbert de Falaise and Doda. He had a sister named Adelaide of.  He was the older of the two children. He had two half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Robert de, Odo Bishop of, Emma de, Muriel de and Miss de.  He died at the age of 59 on September 9th, 1087 in Hermenbraville, Seine-Maritime, France.  He was buried in Abbey of St Step, Caen, Calvados, France.
