Maud "The Empress" Princess of was born in London, Middlesex, England.  Maud "The Empress" Princess of's father was Henry I "Beauclerc" King of England and her mother was Matilda (Edith) Princess of Scotland.  Her paternal grandparents were William I "The Conqueror" King of England and Matilda (Maud) of Flanders. She had five half-brothers and seven half-sisters, named Robert de, Henry, Reynold de, William de, Robert, Maud of, Sibylla, Eustacia de, Elizabeth of, Alice of, Matilda of and Constance.  She died on September 10th, 1167 in Notre Dame, Rouen, Seine-Maritime, France.  She was buried in Abbey of Bec, France.
