Henry I "Beauclerc" King of was born in 1068 in Selby, West Ride Yorkshire, England.  Henry I "Beauclerc" King of's father was William I "The Conqueror" King of England and his mother was Matilda (Maud) of Flanders.  His paternal grandparents were Robert I "The Magnificent" Duke of Normandy and Herleve (Arlette) de Falaise; his maternal grandparents were Baudouin V Count of Flanders and Adele (Aelis) Princess of France. He had two brothers and a sister, named Robert II "Curthose" Duke of, William II "Rufus" King of and Adela of.  He was the youngest of the four children. He had a half-sister named Gundred of.  He died at the age of 67 on December 1st, 1135 in Lyons-La-Foret, Normandy, France.  He was buried in Reading Abbey, Berkshire, England.
