Eadgifu of was born about 0904 in Wessex, England.  Eadgifu of's father was Edward I "The Elder" King of England and her mother was Elfleda of Kent.  Her paternal grandparents were Alfred the Great King of England and Ealhswith of the Gainai; her maternal grandfather was Ethelhelm Ealdorman of Kent. She had two sisters named Aelgifu of and Elgiva Princess of.  She was the oldest of the three children. She had a half-brother and three half-sisters, named Edmund I "The Magnificent" King of, Emliane (Emilienne) of, Elgiva Princess of and Edith Princesss of.  She died about 0951.
