Alice of was born about 1114 in Selby, Yorkshire, England.  Alice of's father was Henry I "Beauclerc" King of England and her mother was Isabel Elizabeth de Beaumont.  Her paternal grandparents were William I "The Conqueror" King of England and Matilda (Maud) of Flanders. She had a sister named Constance. She had five half-brothers and six half-sisters, named Henry, Reynold de, Robert de, William de, Robert, Maud of, Maud "The Empress" Princess of, Sibylla, Mabel (Eustacia), Elizabeth of and Matilda of.  She died in 1141 in Montmorency, Val d'Oise, Ile-de-France, France.
