Charles II "The Bald" Holy Roman was born on June 13th, 0823 in Frankfurt, Hessen-Nassau, Prussia.  Charles II "The Bald" Holy Roman's father was Louis I "The Pious" Holy Roman Emperor and his mother was Judith of Bavaria.  His paternal grandparents were Charlemagne I Holy Roman Emperor and Hildegard of Swabia; his maternal grandparents were Welf (Guelph) III Duke of Bavaria and Edith Hedwig of Saxony. He had two sisters named Gisele of and Alpaide Princess of.  He was the second oldest of the three children. He had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named Lothair I Holy Roman, Louis II "The German" King of East and Rotrude (Hildegarde) Princess of.  He died at the age of 54 on October 6th, 0877 in Brides-les-Bain, Brios, France.  He was buried in St Denis, Paris, Seine, France.
