Gwenllian Verch's father was Eneon of South Wales and her mother was Eleanor of Powys. Her paternal grandparents were Owain Ap Hywell and Anghard Verch Llewelyn; her maternal grandfather was Gueristan of Powys. She had two brothers named Cadell of South and Gronwy Ap.
