When n ews got out about Hugh, Walter Ganyea challanged Hugh to a duel, but Walter didn't show up .  Hugh was assacanated by a knight from Brittany.  The assason was caught and quartered. Sh e was a patron of the arts. She commissioned the building of the convent of St. Lazarus at Be thany for her younger sister Yvette.
