Some authors say Bodgeisel I, brother of Gondolfus, is the father. There is no proof, one way or the other, but the weight of evidence points to Gondofus. Bodegeisel II appears to have been Governor of Aquitaine and was murdered at Carthage returning from an embassy at Constantinople in 588. [Roderick W.
