Thomas le was born about 1159 in Elington, Lincolnshire, England. Thomas le's father was Thurston le Despenser and his mother was Lucia. His paternal grandparents were William III Talvas , Count of Alencon & Ponthieu and Alice (Alix or Ela) of Burgundy. He was an only child. He died in 1218 in Arnesby, Lutterworth, Leicestershire, England.General Notes
I have the same death date for Thomas as Burke's Peerage indicates his eldest son (also Thomas) had when he died without issue. His eldest son was "feudal Lord of Arnesby, Leics", which may be because his father was also of Arnesby, or he did it all on his own.
