Pernell Le was born about 1225 in Of, Loughborough, Leicestershire, England.  Pernell Le's father was Lord Of Loughborough, Sir Hugh Le Despenser Lord Of Loughborough, Sir and her mother was Mrs-Hugh Le Despencer. She had a brother and two sisters, named Hugh 1St Baron Le, Miss Le and Julianna Le.  She was the second oldest of the four children.
