Hannah was born in 1652 in Middletown, Middlesex Co., Conn.  Hannah's father was Balthazar DeWolfe and her mother was Alice Peck.  Her maternal grandparents were William Peck and Elizabeth. She had four brothers and three sisters, and also a sibling of unknown gender, named Edward Nathan, Stephen Peter, Simon, Joseph, Marah, Susannah, Alice and Unk.  She was the fourth oldest of the nine children.
