John was born in August 1231 in Warren, Sussex, England. John's father was Earl of Surrey William Plantagenet De Warenne Earl of Surrey and his mother was Countess of Norfolk Maud (Matilda) Marshall Countess of Norfolk. He had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named Hugh, Roger and Isabel. He died at the age of 74 on September 27th, 1305 in Surrey, England.
