Ralph "the Timid" was born about 1033 in of, Nantes, Normandy, France.  Ralph "the Timid"'s father was Dreux (Drogo) Comte De Vexin and his mother was Princess Goda (Godgifu) of England Princess.  His paternal grandparents were Count of Amiens Gautier (Walter) II "the White" Comte de Vexin Count of Amiens and Adele De Senlis; his maternal grandparents were Ethelred the Unready II King of England and Emma (or Edburga) of Normandy. He had a brother and a sister, named Ralph De Gael and Adela.  He was the second oldest of the three children.  He died on December 21st, 1057.  He was buried in Peterborough, Northamptonshire, England.
