Sir Miles De Stapleton 
Sir Miles was born about 1125. Sir Miles' father was Sir John De Stapleton and his mother was Joan Mallory. His paternal grandparents were Allan De Stapleton and Daughter de Tanfield; his maternal grandfather was Sir Mallory. He was an only child.General Notes
Sir Miles Stapylton, knt. of Stapylton, on his return from the Holy Land, espoused Penrodas, daughter of the King of Cyprus, and had three sons, Allan, his heir; Richard, seised of the manor of Seamor, in Cleveland; and Brian, seised of the manor of Halswell.
