William De Stanley 
William was born in 1258 in Standleigh, Stafford, England. William's father was Walter De Stanley. His paternal grandfather was Adam De Stanley. He was an only child. He died at the age of 68 in 1326.General Notes
William de Stanleigh, Stanley, in County Stafford, in the time of Edward II, 1307-1326, married Jane or Joan, daughter of Sir Philip Bamville, of Storeton, and his wife Agnes, daughter and heir of Alexander Stourton. By this marriage he became hereditary ranger of the Forest of Wirral, and acquired one-third of the manor of Stourton (later acquiring all of it), and migrated to their newly acquired home in Cheshire.
