Ellen Margaret was born in 1282 in Chacombe, Northamptonshire, England. Ellen Margaret's father was John De Seagrave Lord Segrave and her mother was Christine Du Plessis. Her paternal grandparents were Nicholas De Segrave Lord Segrave and Maud De Lacy; her maternal grandparents were Hugh Du Plessis and Joan De Hoyville. She had a brother and a sister, named Stephen and Christine. She was the second oldest of the three children. She died at the age of 36 in 1318.-
