Bertha was born in 1127. Bertha's father was Miles de Pitres III Earl of Hereford and her mother was Sybil De Neufmarche. Her paternal grandfather was Walter Fitz Walter; her maternal grandparents were Bernard Brecknock De Neufmarche and Nest Verch Osborn. She had five brothers and three sisters, named Henry Fitzmiles Lord of, Walter Fitzmiles Lord of, Roger Fitzmiles IV Earl of, Michael Fitzmiles Constable of, William, Margaret, Lucy of Hereford Lady of Blaen and Lucy. She died at the age of 77 in 1204.-
